RE: Parent Information Program Update
Dear Family Law Section Member:
As you may be aware, on January 2, 1997 the Superior Court in Maricopa County implemented a Parent Information Program pursualt to ARS 25-351 et seq. (Domestic Relations Education on Children's Issues).
The purpose of the Parent Information Program is to educate parents regarding the impacts that divorce, family restructuring and judicial involvement have on children. Attendance is a requirement for all parents involved in a divorce or legal separation, or in a paternity action in which the Court is requested to determine custody or specific visitation or child support. The Court may also order parents involved in other domestic relations actions to attend.
